Afternoon Delight: "Inside The NBA" finds a new home!

Well that didn't take long! Earlier this afternoon after it was announced that TNT's Inside The NBA would cease to exist in a year due to the NBA's new $7 billion media rights deal that doesn't include Turner Sports, we speculated that the show could eventually turn into a podcast. According to Celtics Life's long time investigative journalist Rondo Burgundy it appears this website had some insider news of their own. Rondo Burgundy is reporting that celticslife.com and Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barley, and Shaquille O'Neal have agreed to a seventeen year deal to bring their show to this website in podcast form starting in the Fall of 2025.

As part of the deal, Shaq will renounce his three Lakers rings and wear his Celtics jersey each episode. Kenny and Chuck will additionally alternate wearing a different Celtics jersey each epsiode. Kevin Garnett will also be a frequent guest.

The Inside The NBA podcast will be recorded and filmed at different Dunkin locations in both the Boston and Atlanta areas. Great news for NBA fans and our loyal followers of Celtics Life!
