Latest NBA mock draft has Celtics selecting intriguing Israeli point guard
So while the Boston Celtics were well loaded with point guards this past season in Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, and Payton Pritchard, who knows what the future holds next season or even moreso three years from now. CBS just came out with their latest mock draft and they have the Celtics selecting Ben Saraf a 6'5" point guard out of Israel. I've seen Saraf who turned 19 in April going earlier in previous mock drafts, so he would appear to be a strong get at pick #28.
While just 19, Saraf has been playing professionally so may very well be more ready than other draftees. There is always the possibility the Celtics would like to use this late first round pick as a stash selection, which would enable them to retain the player's NBA rights while they continue to develop overseas and very importantly for Boston aren't on the team's salary cap.
