Voting for the 2020 NBA All-Star Game is now open until MLK Jr. Day on Monday, January 20 at 11:59 PM (see link above to take action and vote). The 69th NBA All-Star Game will be played in the United Center in Chicago on Sunday, February 16 at 8 PM and will be featured on TNT. In a format where top-vote-getters are captains of their drafted squads, the all-star game could see multiple Celtics facing off against each other. The cases are strong for the big 3 of the 2-seed Boston Celtics.

Kemba Walker: At 22.6 PPG coming into Christmas Day, good for sixth amongst Eastern Conference guards, the leader of one of the best teams in the NBA is a lock to make his fourth consecutive all-star appearance. A former participant in the NBA 3-point shootout, Walker may receive another invitation to the event. He is currently third amongst NBA guards in 3-point field goals and seventh amongst all NBA players in the category.
Jaylen Brown: This year, Jaylen Brown became a rich man. This year, Jaylen Brown became one of the most deadly offensive talents in the league. If you think that's a good sign, how about what he did on Christmas Day to end an 8-game losing streak in Toronto? ESPN announcer and former opponent of Brown Richard Jefferson said it best on the broadcast—"that's a steal; I'd pay him more."
Jaylen Brown (30 points) becomes the first Celtics player to score 30+ points on the road on Christmas Day since Rajon Rondo did so on Dec. 25, 2011 at NYK— Celtics Stats (@celtics_stats) December 25, 2019
20 PPG, 7 RPG, and over 37% shooting from 3, are those all-star numbers? You tell me.
Jayson Tatum: Entering Christmas Day, amongst the top 9 players in the NBA in +/-, only three are not members of the Milwaukee Bucks, home to the defending NBA MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo (who is first in the category). The are: reigning NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard in eighth, the King and likely captain of one of the all-star teams in 2020 LeBron James in sixth, and Jayson Tatum coming in at fourth place. The consistent play throughout the season is only truly appreciated by a Celtics fan who can ignore his rare ice-cold shooting night. Putting up career nights supposedly every week and ranking third against Eastern Conference forwards in points per game at 21.6 coming into Christmas Day, Tatum has been involved with the Celtics offensively and made huge plays even on off nights.

The electric duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown is one of the primary reasons the 2019 Boston Celtics are blowing out opponents nightly, even when Kemba Walker is not himself. Now, they can face each other as all-stars.
