"Jayson Tatum has started controlled 5-on-5 scrimmaging with coaches. He has aggressively attacked his rehab at every turn. And listen there's more boxes for Jayson Tatum to check. There's more phases in his rehab, he's got to practice with the team."
It was also reported in the past few days that while Tatum has gotten himself physically back to 100%, he now must still jump over the mental hurdles that athletes must face when returning from a major injury like this. It's easier said that done to just tell someone to go back out there and play like you've always done and have no fear of re0injuring yourself.
Athletes often can come back and pplay more tentative. Avoiding driving and contact and settling for jumpers.
