Video: Kevin Garnett says he doesn't have Ray Allen's phone number any more

At Celtics Media Day today, the topic of Ray Allen came up during Kevin Garnett's interview. When asked if Kevin had spoken to Ray since he decided to take his talents to South Beach, Garnett stated:

"I don't have Ray's number anymore. I'm not trying to communicate with him. I'm just being honest with everybody in here. It's not that I wish him less than or whatever, it's just what it is...

...I choose not to [communicate with him]. That's a choice I personally made. I'm very close to Ray, I know his family, I wish nothing but the best for him and his family, I just made the choice to move on. That's all."

I am glad that KG and Rondo (earlier this week) are being so open about the situation and not trying to hide anything.  I think it will make it easier in the long run to get everything out on the table now about the Ray Allen situation and their feelings about it, and then (hopefully) not have to hear about it any more as the season progresses. Although I am sure it will come up when the Celtics take on the Heat in Miami on opening night.
