$6.1 Billion sale of Boston Celtics to Bill Chisholm approved by NBA
It's official Bill Chisholm, managing partner Symphony Technology Group based in California, is the new owner of the Boston Celtics. Chisholm takes the reigns from Wyc Grousbeck who owned the franchise for more than two decades.
The sale of the Boston Celtics to Bill Chisholm at a valuation of more than $6.1 billion has been unanimously approved by the NBA board of governors. The transaction will be closed shortly with Chisholm taking an ownership stake of at least 51 percent of the Celtics. Chisholm will have full control by 2028 at a price that could bring the total valuation to $7.3 billion.
