Celtics remain winless at home, lose to Wizards 116-107
Jayson Tatum struggled from the floor, Jaylen Brown shot even worse, and Marcus Smart couldn't hit at all. The Wizards took advantage of these Celtics shooting woes, to pick up a 9 point win over Boston.
Ime Udoka chose to go with the two big line-up to start the game and both Al Horford and Robert Williams put up strong numbers. Dennis Schroder was moved back to the bench, but he had another solid night in the loss.
Both teams dished out only 18 assists tonight. Yuck.

The two teams will meet up again on Saturday night for a rematch. That game will be in DC.
#Celtics lose to #Wizards 116-107. Played all night from behind, didn't have enough for late rally. Tatum 23, Schroder 22, Horford 16, RWilliams 13, Brown 13; Harrell 25, Dinwiddie 22, Beal 17.

Tonight was the first healthy DNP-CD of Payton Pritchard's Celtics career.

I thought effort and intensity wasn't supposed to be an issue for Boston this season? And I don’t care if he’s a veteran and the Celtics foolishly gave him a contract extension this offseason after two straight down years, Josh Richardson shouldn’t be playing at the expense of Pritchard and Nesmith who both collected DNP-CD’s.Ime Udoka: "Our intensity and focus wasn't there from the start."

He said he actually got on the Celtics a lot at shootaround because he didn't like the focus there earlier today.
Ime Udoka criticizing the Celtics effort (again), Al Horford talking about Boston needing to be “committed to winning” … these are not things you want to hear five games into the season.
