Afternoon Delight: French Connection of Celtics have themselves a day

They say once a Celtic, always a Celtic, so while fans would gladly claim Evan Fournier as one of our own, we have to claim Vincent "Sexy Pants" Poirier and Guerschon "Dancing Bear" Yabusele as well. Fournier scored 28 points to lead France to an 83 to 76 win over Team USA today. France was the first team to defeat the Americans in the Olympics in 17 years. Fournier also bested the Nets star he famously got into it with during Game 2 of the 1st round. Back then he was calling Kevin Durant a "bitch," but the Nets Big 3 took down the injured and undermanned Celtics in 5 games.

This time around, Fournier was on the major underdog again, but prevailed. And he was joined by a couple more former Celtics. Yabusele and Poirier weren't just bench warmers either. Yabu was on the court for nearly half the game and finished with 6 points and 4 rebounds, while Poirier backed up Rudy Gobert and added 3 points and 4 rebounds.

Congrats to the Celtics' French Connection. Hopefully Jayson Tatum can get back on track this Wednesday when they next play.
