Pistons' Christian Wood is third NBA player to test positive for the coronavirus
This marks the third positive test for coronavirus in the NBA — and the first franchise besides Gobert’s and Donovan Mitchell’s in Utah. Wood has had a career season and is in line for a strong free-agent contract. https://t.co/ShtooDGFSB— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) March 15, 2020
Pistons forward Christian Wood reported flu-like symptoms the morning of Detroit's game against Philadelphia on Wednesday, league sources told @SInow. Wood played, but when the Gobert news broke Wood was tested immediately upon the team's return to Detroit.

Christian Wood becomes the third NBA player to test positive for the coronavirus and the first non Jazz player. The Celtics attempts to trade for Wood at the trade deadline, but were rebuffed by the Pistons. The NBA is still getting test results in on players, but it was somewhat good news that Donovan Mitchell was the only other person in the Utah Jazz contingent that was tested to end up positive. Also there Raptors tests have all come up negative.
Everyone do your part to flatten the curve and protect the most vulnerable people (older people, people with immune deficiencies, etc) and stay home. It will be up to us as a country and the world to determine how bad this pandemic ends up. Remember it's not just about you. It's about your neighbors that are more vulnerable. The way to be Boston Strong this time around is to stay home.
