Celtics announce retirement of Kevin Garnett's #5 in '20-'21 season



The Boston Celtics have announced a long overdue honor for Kevin Garnett. During the 2020-2021 season, his #5 will be raised to the rafters in TD Garden.
There's been a little bit of blowback on Twitter this evening, but KG's value to the C's for the 6 years he played in the greatest city in America cannot be overstated. Without him, the Celtics don't win the 2008 NBA Finals, and I never get to have 'anything is possible!!!!!!!' as my text tone in college.

Congrats, KG. Can't wait to make the trip to TD Garden the day your number reaches new heights.
