Video: A happy Danny Ainge talks trade deadline; Paul George expresses frustration

Danny sounds like he's in a much better mood today than Paul George. In the Pacers defense, the only reason why they even entertained offers for George is because he hasn't committed 100% to staying in Indy long term. The Pacers this summer will first attempt to sign him to that long term extension and if that doesn't happen that swiftly shift to trading him.

In the past I'd be more inclined to trade for a guy like George under the assumption that he'll love playing in Boston and we can then pay him for more than anyone else can. With the new CBA that's not the case anymore. He has to stay in Indiana to get the most dollars. If he's traded to Boston, we can't offer any more than the Lakers can. And allegedly the threat of George walking to the Lakers is real.
