Could Blake Griffin be the rumored star the Celtics are targeting?
Yesterday, reports from Dan Lifshatz of 98.5 the Sports Hub rumored that the Celtics have made significant progress towards landing another star player through a trade. Last week, Danny Ainge and Wyc Grousbeck indicated they were not done yet this offseason and looking to add another piece to the roster.
The star player rumor may have gained some more traction and clarity yesterday following this news.

Blake Griffin to the Celtics would fit the rumor based on few subtle hints that have been left behind.
Wyc Grousbeck mentioned the player being targeted had some off the court issues and the asking price of the "difficult" player had significantly dropped since draft night. While immediate thoughts naturally lead you to Demarcus Cousins or Jahlil Okafor, I would assume breaking your hand on your trainers' face and missing the majority of the season likely qualifies.
Another Sports Hub producer, Jimmy Stewart, chimed in on his opinion of the secret player.

Griffin would undoubtedly be the best player on the roster and fans would be very excited about the move.
Of course there would be those who wouldn't want to see Crowder leave and one or both of the Brooklyn picks but those would probably be in play too. Be on the lookout for more news surrounding Griffin to come out soon.
