Video: Tony Allen gets a technical for accidentally tossing his warm-up shirt

During the third quarter of tonight's game 5 match-up between the Grizzlies and the Thunder, former Celtic Tony Allen accidentally flung a blue warm-up jersey from the sidelines while OKC's Derek Fisher launched a corner shot. (The commentators in the video above refer to it as a towel, but if you watch closely, it appears he had a blue shirt wrapped up in the towel and it's the shirt that fell onto the court). The basket didn't go in, but the officials counted it and penalized Allen with a technical foul.

The chain of events was part of a 15-4 Thunder run. However, as I am typing this post, there are about 3 minutes left to the game and the Grizzlies have a 12 point lead, so luckily for TA, his mishap will probably not affect the outcome of the game and Memphis will move on to the Western Conference Finals (unless OKC makes a miracle happen in the next few minutes).

Tony Allen will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. I personally would love to see him back in Boston, but if the Grizzlies continue their post-season success, he might want to stay in Memphis where he has a starting role, especially if he helps the team reach the Western Conference Finals for the first time in the franchise's history.
