Celtics recall Joseph from Maine
The Boston Celtics announced today that they have recalled forward Kris Joseph from their NBA Development League affiliate, the Maine Red Claws.
Joseph, a 6’7 forward, averaged 25.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 block in two games while on assignment.
Kris Joseph will be back in uniform with the C's tonight. The Celtics would have probably done this anyway with Rondo's suspension, but Jeff Green and Chris Wilcox's questionable statuses for tonight make this even more logical. Personally the only benefit I see in having Joseph in Maine is to keep him fresh. He already has a pretty developed game and I'd love to see him get some extended time backing up Pierce tonight. I think he has the potential to be the answer at the backup small forward position, which the Celtics have had a void at since they let Tony Allen leave.
