Celtics end their road trip with a 111-98 win in Dallas

The Boston Celtics, hoping to end their west coast trip at a 3-1 mark, came out guns blazing against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.

Scoring 61 first half points, the C's led by 11 at the break. That lead would quickly dwindle as the Mavs cut the Celts lead to one after the third (83-82). Fortunately, thanks to a strong final quarter, the green hung on to a 111-98 victory.

The Celtics shot 49 percent (40-81) from the floor for the game, including 47 percent (16-34) from beyond the arc.

Kelly Olynyk (15 points), Isaiah Thomas (29 points, eight assists) and ex-Maverick Jae Crowder (10 points, four rebounds) all hit huge three-pointers in the final quarter to help the Celtics end their road trip with a W.

Texas native Marcus Smart continued his strong play adding 19 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The Celtics got solid contributions off the bench from Gerald Green (10 points) and James Young, who added five points and four rebounds all in the final frame.
