Celtics and WEEI part ways

You might have to program a new station into your car stereos as the Celtics are leaving WEEI.
"WEEI has had an incredible run with the Boston Celtics, from being a part of their 17th championship banner to the end of the Big 3 era," said Entercom Boston vice president/market manager Jeff Brown in a statement.

"Unfortunately we were unable to come to terms on a new contract moving forward. We thank the entire Celtics organization for our tremendous time together and wish them the best of luck in the future."

Expect business to be as usual for Celtics broadcasts with Sean Grande and Cedric Maxwell heading to whatever station works out a contract with the Celtics. One has to wonder if the Celtics less that bright immediate future led to WEEI not meeting the Celtics contract demands or if the switch would have happened regardless.
