Death of 29 year old Brandon Clarke of the Memphis Grizzlies being investigated

Sad news to report as long time Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke has passed away at the young age of 29 years old. NBA Commssioner Adam Silver released the following statement:

"We are devastated to learn of the passing of Brandon Clarke. As one of the longest-tenured members of the Grizzlies, Brandon was a beloved teammate and leader who played the game with enormous passion and grit. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Brandon's family, friends and the Grizzlies organization."

The cause of Clarke's death is reportedly being investigated as a possible overdose due to drug paraphernalia allegedly having been found in his home.

Clarke had a very tough year this season barely playing due to injuries and was arrested last month. Such a sad end to this man's young life. Prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
