Despite a fantastic game by Paolo Banchero (36 Pts, 10 Reb), the Magic only had 1 other player in double-figures. Boston also held Orlando to their 2nd worst shooting game of the season at 38.2% from the field. The Celtics were led by Jaylen Brown (31 Pts, 6 Ast, 5 Reb), who slammed the door on Orlando with a masterpiece in the final quarter. The Celtics moved to 10-0 on the season when all 5 starters score in double-figures, continuing to show how unbeatable they are when everyone gets involved.
A special shoutout goes to Jrue Holiday, who took the challenge of defending Paolo Banchero. After scoring 19 points on 7/9 shooting in the 1st quarter, Banchero shot just 7/21 from the field in the final 3 periods, clearly frustrated by Holiday's stifling D. This was an outstanding performance by the guys in their final game before heading out West. A 5-0 homestand is exactly what the doctor ordered.
The Celtics next game will be Tuesday night against the Warriors at Golden State. Go Celtics!
