Boston Celtics fans will have been disappointed to lose out at the final hurdle but the franchise will take many positives from the 2021/22 NBA season. The Golden State Warriors may have pipped the Celtics at the end stages but there is much to build on and every reason why the team will be confident of going one better in 2023.

2022 represented Boston’s first divisional title in five years, their first Conference title in 12 years and their best chance to add to their long haul of NBA Championships. Could 2023 see Head Coach Ime Udoka’s men add their first pennant since 2008?

All accounts suggest that the team has enjoyed a strong offseason but how far can Boston go?

Dates for the Diary

With the NBA draft having been completed, all that’s left is to wait for the season to begin. The 2022/23 NBA campaign will begin on October 18th and the regular season will run all the way through to April 9th.

The postseason begins with the playing rounds which will commence on April 15th and the Playoffs will conclude sometime in May. Celtics fans will then be eyeing up the finals series. Dates have yet to be determined but these will take place at some time in June. There’s lots to look forward to but how likely are Boston to claim the title next time around?

Boston Celtics Ranked

According to independent sources, this should be the year that the Boston Celtics rise back to the top. Sports betting sites affiliated with Sbo.net list the Celtics as clear favorites to win the Championship at the end of the 2022/23 NBA season.

The closest challenges are expected to come from the Golden State Warriors, the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Clippers and the Phoenix Suns. When the new campaign gets underway, those odds will transfer to the live section of each sportsbook.

As the season progresses, the figures are subject to change and Sbo.net will report on any updates. While assessing the new odds, visitors to the website can take into consideration a whole host of other information.

News updates, sportsbook reviews and jargon busting articles such as those explaining American odds are published here. It’s also possible to proceed and to get directly involved with those betting markets.

Each of the sportsbooks referenced on these pages will be ready to take on new customers. Following receipt of a safe and secure sign up form, there will be opportunities to take advantage of welcome promotions while some operators will also have ongoing offers moving forward.

If anyone needs assistance with the registration procedure, customer services are on hand while a selection of deposit methods can help with adding initial funds.

When playing as a regular customer, there should also be mobile betting, in-play markets and a choice of other sports. It’s the logical site to follow for NBA betting but can the Celtics justify their position as pre-tournament favorites?

Positive Offseason

Many members of the roster responsible for taking Boston Celtics to the finals series in 2022 will be present once again for the new campaign. In terms of trades, the addition of Malcolm Brogdon is the big news from the offseason.

Brogdon was acquired from the Indiana Pacers where he spent the last four seasons. At the age of 29, the tall Point Guard is now onto his third NBA franchise but many independent pundits reckon that Brogdon will be a great asset to this Celtics team.

It would be unfair to describe Malcolm Brogdon as a journeyman but that tag is a definite fit for Celtics’ second major trade of the offseason. At 33, Danilo Gallinari is at the veteran stage of his career and Boston will be his sixth NBA franchise. He’s also enjoyed spells with three teams in his native Italy but the Power Forward should be a valuable asset for 2022/23.

The Verdict

There wasn’t much that needed to be changed. Boston Celtics had reached the finals series in 2022 and there was plenty of talent within the existing roster.

A couple of significant acquisitions has boosted that talent and Coach Udoka’s men look primed to go all the way once again.
