Isaiah Thomas calls it "very frustrating" that Brad Stevens never gave him an opportunity to return to Boston
The Boston Celtics face old friend Isaiah Thomas tomorrow in Charlotte when they take on the Hornets. Thomas backed up LaMelo Ball in his first game as a Hornet, but received a DNP for his 2nd game.Isaiah Thomas on his futile attempts to return to #Celtics pic.twitter.com/nS88QYQYes

A few days ago Isaiah made a tweet on loyalty that was taken as a shot on the Celtics and Brad Stevens and today's comments probably enforce that that take was correct.

If Brad Stevens (or Danny Ainge before him) thought that Thomas could help out the Celtics I'm sure they would have made the call. But I also don't feel like they have wanted to deal with more blowback if they signed Isaiah, he barely played, and then they waive him after 10 days.
Other teams can do that and there would be no issue, but do the Celtics past relationship with Thomas it would be one for Boston.
Here's hoping Thomas can stick in Charlotte.
