Yam Madar expected to play for Celtics Summer League team

Here's some end of the holiday weekend good news for Celtics fans. Yam Madar, the intriguing point guard prosect who Danny Ainge selected in last year's 2nd round, is coming to Boston. So we'll all get a first glimpse of Madar working out for the team and then playing with the squad in the NBA's summer league.

It will be nice to have the Summer League back after last year's hiatus (for obvious reasons). Seems like forever ago the 2019 Summer League Celtics gave us a fun run and introduced the NBA to Tacko Fall. A pity that Carsen Edwards in two seasons hasn't been able to translate his spectacular shooting to real NBA games.

Madar is likely to be the main attraction for the Celtics this summer league, considering at this time they look to be sitting out of this year's 1st round. In addition to Madar, expect to see the Celtics 2nd round selection in this coming draft, Payton Prichard, Aaron Nesmith, and Moses Brown also on that squad. Other players could include Tremont Waters, Tacko Fall, Romeo Langford, and Grant Williams. Then there will be a couple undrafted rookies thrown in there as well.

Below is a collection of Madar highlights by Tomasz Kordylewski since his drafting last November. Would make for a nice parting gift on Ainge's part if his last draft pick turned out to be a steal.
