Kemba Walker has been cleared to begin practicing with the team

Some good news on the Celtics front as their All-Star point guard just cleared another hurdle. Unless you're Allen Iverson in order to play you must first practice. Still a mystery when Kemba Walker will get his first playing time of the season, but the Celtics need him healthy and on the floor to reach their ceiling. Of course much more importantly than seeing Walker play during the regular season is to a have him be healthy for the entire playoff run. Expect Walker's playing time during the season to have a minutes restriction at first. Also expect some "maintenance" days off. In Kemba's absence, rookie guard Payton Pritchard has burst onto the scene. Pritchard will back-up Walker upon the latter's return, but also expect quite a few minutes a game with the guards on the floor together.
