Tristan Thompson talks his relationship with his mentor Kendrick Perkins

The NBA game is a different game now than when Perk was last seen beasting in Boston over ten years ago. The Celtics have lacked an enforcer replacement for just as long. Enter Tristan Thompson who played together with Kendrick Perkins for a short stretch in Cleveland. Tristan still views Perkins as a mentor and spoke to him after signing with Boston.

For his part Kendrick Perkins wrote on Twitter, "The Celtics Finally got the missing piece to the puzzle. Tristian Thompson is exactly what they needed!!!" immediately after hearing about the Celtics agreeing to a deal with Tristan back on November 21st.
