Celtics sign Jeff Teague

Multiple sources are reporting that veteran point guard Jeff Teague and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a one year contract Teague used to be rather highly viewed, but of late there were some criticisms of his play as being selfish. He backed up Trae Young in Atlanta last season. The Hawks looking for an upgrade signed Rajon Rondo and Kris Dunn in the past 24 hrs. Teague will backup Kemba Walker in Boston.

There was some thought that 2nd year guard Tremont Waters and soon to be 23 year old rookie Payton Pritchard might battle for that position, but the Celtics felt the need to add a veteran. Hopefully Brad Stevens can put the 32 year old Teague's career back on the right path.
