Smart who ended up with a career high 37 points, to his credit said after the game, he'd rather have the win than the record. After struggling for a few years earlier in his career with the 3 ball, Smart hit 126 last season shooting an impressive 36.4% from behind the arc. This season he's already hit 75 through 32 games played, so he should set a career high again in made 3 pointers for the season. His percentage is down a smidge to 35.5%, but despite what the eyes might tell you, Smart isn't a bad shooter.
Smart will get to see if he's still hot in about an hour when the Celtics take on the Lakers.
Marcus Smart on his 11 3-pointers:
"Right now it means nothing. I’d trade all that in for a win, especially with the way this team has been playing. I’d rather have the win than the record."
