Tonight the Boston Celtics (2-0 in the preseason) opened up their second preseason game with a massive first quarter which gave them a nice cushion towards their 100 - 75 victory over the Orlando Magic (3-1 in the preseason).
Finishing the first quarter with a 35-11 lead, Boston was pretty much untouchable for the rest of the game even though Orlando did play better in the second half. The Celtics' starting five consisted of Marcus Smart (PG), Jaylen Brown (SG), Jayson Tatum (SF), Gordan Hayward (PF), and Daniel Theis (C). Boston's newest all-NBA point guard Kemba Walker sat out of the game with knee soreness.

Jayson Tatum once again led the Celtics in scoring, finishing with a total of 15 points after 22 minutes of play. Marcus and Jaylen were not that far behind with 14 and 11 points respectively.

Off the bench, Grant Williams (10 points) and Brad Wannamaker (9 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds) had big nights relatively speaking and aided in keeping the energy set by the staters in the first quarter going throughout the game.

For the Magic, Terrence Ross led their efforts in their first loss of the preseason putting up 21 points of the bench. Orlando's star big man Nikola Vucevic also sat out the night with a not so serious sprained ankle, so with him gone they really struggled to get their offense going.

Last but certainly not least, rookie phenom Tacko Fall was under the spotlight once again as chants of his name echoed within the Amway Center throughout the night. Once he went in towards the end of the game, he got a standing ovation from the away team's crowd (although if you look closely you can spot a lot of green).
