Celtics waive Max Strus

Strus' picture perfect jumper wasn't enough to keep him in the Celtics organization





Looks like the highflying Javonte Green may have nailed down that final roster spot. I liked Strus. He definitely has a role in today's NBA with his sweet stroke. Strus is also a few years younger than Green, so was surprised to see the Celtics go with Javonte. In the end when the Celtics converted Strus 2-way contract into a non guaranteed 2 year contract and gave Tacko Fall the 2-way contract, Strus' job status with the Celtics became more tenuous. There always is a chance that the Celtics decide to pass on Javonte as well and sign another player waived by another team.
