The Celtics acquired Morris two summers ago when they had to move one of Marcus Smart, Jae Crowder, or Avery Bradley to have the cap space to finalize the Gordon Hayward signing. Morris ended up outplaying the player he was traded for in Avery Bradley and was a key cog in the team's exciting 2018 playoff run. When the team rreacclimated injured stars Kyrie Irving and Hayward back into the mix this past season, Morris' role lessoned and I believe a new start is best for all parties. Besides, the C's wouldn't have had the cap space to retain Morris and sign Kemba Walker, so the parting was inevitable. Thanks for your time in Boston Marcus.
Yeah yeah I read the wrong Morris. I think my edits to the title were a decent save though. 🙈
