Celtics sign Javonte Green to a partially guaranteed deal

We'll be seeing more of Javonte's high flying act in training camp and preseason at least

The Celtics will be signing Javonte Green to a partially guaranteed deal, league sources told ESPN. Green played well for Boston's summer league team, averaging 10.8 points and shooting 50 percent from the field in 5 games. He'll get a shot at earning Boston's final roster spot.

Danny Ainge yesterday on Javonte Green: "I don't know what is ahead in his future, but he played really well for us in this summer too and he's proven he can find a good role in the NBA too, if that's what he wants."

Looks like another summer league standout has a shot to make that final roster spot. The Celtics typically like to have some competition in training camp. I'd be surprised if Green sticks with the green, but you never know.

Well here you go. Basically what I said. lol.

Javonte Green is planning to sign a 2-year deal with the Celtics, with a partial guarantee in year 1 and non-guaranteed year 2, per source. I've been told by multiple sources that the Cs plan to have several players, likely partial & two-way contract guys, vie for the last spot.
