Watch: ESPN's Smith thinks Kyrie might leave for Lakers after LBJ call
I should have seen this coming.
For the so-called "worldwide leader" to have spun Kyrie Irving's phone call to former teammate LeBron James into a sign the Boston Celtic may be planning to decamp to the Los Angeles Lakers is pretty par for the course in recent days, so I am not exactly shocked to hear ESPN's Stephen A. Smith doing exactly that:
Watch the video above to hear his theory on the subtext being delivered by such a public apology to current and former teammates alike. Make sure to stretch your optic nerve a little first, though, as you might strain something with all the eye-rolling that'll ensue.
