Aron Baynes out vs. Orlando tonight - will Rob Williams get a shot?

Aron Baynes will not be available tonight against the Orlando Magic due to a hamstring strain. This may be a good opportunity for rookie Robert Williams to get on the floor at TD Garden and see some action.

At this early juncture in the season, Brad Stevens is still experimenting and tinkering with his line-ups. Williams adds a somewhat-new dimension to the team, as a rim protector and lob catcher/finisher. It would be a good opportunity for Brad to run a few plays for the youngster and see how he responds.

Al Horford will gets his minutes at the center position, and Daniel Theis has been little-used by Stevens thus far. We may see Daniel at the five this evening. Questions have been raised as to why he is not playing any significant minutes.

Rob is being brought along slowly by Stevens, and that makes sense. The roster is loaded and there is little need to put undue pressure on the rookie so early. But it would be a delight for Celtics fans to at least get a glimpse of what Williams can do. Tonight would be a perfect opportunity.
