Celtics Greg Monroe could debut versus Washington Wizards tonight
Newly acquired Greg Monroe may officially sign with the Boston Celtics today prior to, or immediately after, the trade deadline at 3:00 PM (ET). That would make him eligible to play against the Wizards this evening. His signing with the team has been apparently postponed until today to allow Celtics exec Danny Ainge to retain flexibility for potential trades. Greg has been working out at his alma mater, Georgetown University, while awaiting his official signing.
New team, but he’s always a #H4L.

Great seeing you, @M10OSE! #H4L #WeAreGeorgetown pic.twitter.com/58kEPu7rsK
The Wizards will be without guard, John Wall, following knee surgery. Monroe will most likely be eased into the Celtics lineup, probably backing up starting center Aron Baynes. Greg's low-post moves, scoring and rebounding will give the Celtics bench a much-needed boost. It will be great to see him on the floor. He is a nice addition to the team.
