Celtics officially cut ties with Gerald Green to make room for Nader
Gerald Green is no longer a Boston Celtic, according to Real GM's Keith Smith.
Green, who rejoined the Celtics in something of a homecoming last season, was seen as a fringe candidate to return to the roster for the 2017-18 season, and has reportedly been renounced by Boston to make room for the Abdel Nader signing. With all the wing depth coming in to Boston over the last two drafts, there simply wasn't enough roster spots for Green, who should still be able to find a team to sign with after his performances in last season's playoffs.
No word yet on how Semi Ojeleye will figure into the Celtics' plans, but the consensus seems to be he'll get signed to the regular-season roster somehow.

I'm very curious to see how/if the Celtics sign Semi Ojeleye. Not sure he will go the stash route. Not even sure Boston wants him to.— Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) July 14, 2017
