Jordan Mickey to get the start tonight for the Celtics

The Celtics are banged up heading into tonight's game against Washington, and with Amir Johnson joining the wounded with a sprained foot Brad Stevens said he's going with Jordan Mickey to start in his place. Via Chris Forsberg of ESPN:

Avery Bradley (ankle), Amir Johnson (ankle), Jaylen Brown (ankle), Tyler Zeller (illness), and James Young (ankle) are all OUT for the Celtics vs. Wizards tonight. Celtics coach Brad Stevens expects to start second-year center Jordan Mickey in Johnson's place.

So for all my friends with me on the #FreeJordanMickey wagon:

Stevens said he prefers to keep Kelly Olynyk and Jonas Jerebko in their usual roles, rather than mix up the entire lineup any more with all the players that will be out:

Big opportunnity for Mickey to showcase those rebounding chops, especially after the Celtics got mugged again on the boards last night. He hasn't seen the floor in over a month, as December 7th was the last time he even entered a game at all. With only 10 guys active for the second night of a back-to-back, and only four of them legitimate big guys available, Mickey is primed to get some serious run tonight.

The Celtics and Wizards tip-off tonight at 8pm in Boston.
