From Jay King of Mass Live:
"I was a hypocrite when it came to Boston fans," said the big man, who spent his best seasons with the rival Los Angeles Lakers. "Before I got there, I really didn't like you guys. But when I got there you guys welcomed your arms. One thing about Boston, you guys appreciate hard work. Even if I wasn't the Shaq-Shaqity Shaq, I (gave what I could) and I think they appreciated it."
