Report: Celtics shopping Marcus Smart

No. 6 overall pick from last year's draft, Marcus Smart, is a possible trade candidate according to reports.

With the 16th overall pick, the Celtics took Louisville's Terry Rozier. Add sharp-shooter R.J. Hunter at pick no. 28, and Marcus Thornton at no. 45, and the Celtics have found themselves with something like 10 guards on the roster. TEN.

With a logjam like that, a trade or two seems inevitable. According to Alex Kennedy, Marcus Smart is among those being shopped by the Celtics.

League sources believe that the Celtics will continue shopping Marcus Smart, especially after they drafted Terry Rozier No. 16 last night.

Smart was rumored to be part of a package proposed to Philly for Nerlens Noel and the No. 3 overall pick. There was also this from yesterday:

Ainge would likely have to be wowed to move Smart, but with a roster like this it seems anything is on the table.
