Video: Kevin Durant tears up talking about Kendrick Perkins in MVP speech

Who doesn't love Kendrick Perkins?

Well, apparently anyone that hasn't played with him before.

In Durant's fantastic MVP acceptance speech, he broke into tears a couple of times. One of those times was talking about former Celtic, Kendrick Perkins, whom Durant noted he hated before he donned a Thunder uniform. He then goes onto cry when talking about how much he means to him now. Video above, transcript below.

Perk...I hated you before you got here.

But, the moment you got here you just changed my whole perception of you. You're one of the best teammates I ever had. I thank you so much.

The late night calls after the tough games, you texting me...telling me I'm the MVP. That meant a lot to me. Thank you.

Perkins was sent to OKC in the infamous trade that landed the Celtics Jeff Green and ultimately crushed Boston's title hopes.

Perk, famous for his trademark frown and tendency to pick up technical fouls, was beloved in Boston. Not only by his teammates and best friend, Rajon Rondo, but also by the fans. Incase you've forgotten, here's the tribute you all gave him after he was traded to OKC.

So, congrats to Kevin Durant on winning the MVP and reminding us all how awesome Perk is.
