Unveiling of Russell Statue moved to private ceremony

If you were planning on heading to City Hall Plaza on Friday November 1, 2013 for the unveiling of the Bill Russell statue, save your trip in town for the Red Sox parade this weekend.

Baxter Holmes of the Boston Globe reported earlier this evening that the unveiling has been moved to a private location due to expected inclement weather:

Due to expected inclement weather, the ceremony for the unveiling of the Bill Russell statue tomorrow has been moved to a private location.

Unfortunately, that ceremony won't be open to the public.
