Doc Rivers backs Paul Pierce & Kevin Garnett in war of words with LeBron James

The day before an October 18th Heat vs Nets preseason contest, LeBron criticized Pierce and KG for "leaving" Boston.  The following night the two of them each responded in their own ways.  Now for the second time in a week, Doc Rivers has put himself in the good graces of Celtics fans by coming to the defense of his former players.  During Wednesday evening's Dan LeBatard Show on ESPN, Rivers said this:

"Paul and Kevin were traded. They were traded. Paul was traded whether he wanted to be or not. Kevin was the only one who had to agree to be traded even though he had already been traded. He had to agree to the trade. That's completely different. You could make more of a case for me leaving than on Paul and Kevin."

While the obvious discrepancies surrounding Ray Allen signing with the Heat and Pierce and Garnett being dealt to Brooklyn are abundantly clear to Boston fans, it seems as though people around the rest of the country are not so aware.  How else can we explain this topic continuing to appear in the news cycles?  LeBatard is from Miami though, so I guess it makes sense for him to bring this up when Doc appeared on his show.  Also, I'm glad Doc can admit that maybe the circumstances regarding his departure from Boston were less than ideal.
