Report: Celtics close to signing Phil Pressey to a one year contract
From ESPN's Jeff Goodman:
Former Missouri point guard Phil Pressey and Boston Celtics working on a one-year deal, sources told ESPN.

After an impressive summer league in which the undrafted point guard averaged 6.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game, it appears Danny Ainge may be leaning towards making Pressey a more serious part of Boston's future plans. Pressey's current deal only guaranteed him an invite to summer league and training camp, but inking a one year contract would go a long way towards him locking down one of the C's final roster spots. If the Celtics do sign Pressey it would be a clear indication of more moves to come (and probably even if they don't). Boston currently has 13 players under contract for next season (15 is the maximum) without including the non-guaranteed deals of Shavlik Randolph and Kris Joseph, or 2nd round draft pick Colton Iverson.
