Celtics look to end preseason with win over Sixers
at
Philadelphia 76ers (4-1) at Boston Celtics (3-4)
Preseason Game #8, Home Game #3
Sunday, October 21, 2012
7:30 PM ET
TV: CSNNE, CSN-P, NBA-LP (DTV 751)
TD Garden
Referees: Mike Callahan, James Williams, Haywoode Workman
The Celtics have reached their final preseason game and after sitting out Pierce, KG, Bass, and Darko on Saturday against the Knicks, they will probably all play in this game, even if only for limited minutes. It was rumored that we may see Leandro Barbosa get a few minutes in this game as well.
In the first meeting between these two teams, The Celtics played everyone except KG and Philly played everyone except Bynum and Brown who were out with injuries, and still are, for that matter. The Sixers blew out the Celtics 107-75. The Celtics have avenged earlier losses to both the Knicks and the Nets and now will be looking to do the same to the Sixers.
I'm sure that, as with every game this preseason, there will be roster changes between now and the game. The Sixers play again tomorrow vs the Knicks and so they may choose to sit some of their players for this one. With this being the final game to tune up a few things, I expect everyone to play, but then again, why risk an injury in a meaningless game. It would be great to end the preseason on a high note with a win in this one.
