Shaughnessy doesn't see a comeback

What else is new? If the expert opinion of these two bozos is that the Celtics are finished, it's probably a good thing. When are they ever right?

Shaughnessy thinks every Boston team is finished as soon as a series starts, I don't think he's ever had faith in anything. Even when the Bruins took a 3-0 lead a couple days ago he wrote a column saying Game 4 was the "first ever must-win with a 3-0 lead" because the Bruins had dropped a 3-0 lead to the same team last year. Seriously?

Anyway, feel free to get mad as you watch Shaughnessy and Tanguay talk about how old and overmatched the Celtics are. There's five games left in this series, three of which are in Boston. The Celtics haven't gotten a full game from a healthy Pierce yet and Shaq is due to return tonight. If Shaq is healthy, that's a huge boost for the Celtics. They'd be a different team. The numbers don't lie.

As Doc said last year, the closest a series can be after three games is 2-1.

To bring it back to hockey for a second, the Bruins also faced an 0-2 deficit in the first round but rallied back to win the series in seven. The Celtics aren't facing 0-3 yet, it's not impossible.
