Paul Pierce Closing In On Next Milestone.
Seems like it was only a couple weeks ago that Paul Pierce was scoring his 20,000th point against The Milwaukee Bucks, in reality it was about three months ago. I guess time flies when you having fun... and winning. Pierce is only 21 points away from passing the 21,000 Point Milestone. By the way Paul has scored 21 or more points in 22 games this season, including three of the past four. The achievement could likely be reached in Monday's game in Utah.
The Truth will be the 30th player in NBA history to reach 21,000, and the 7th active player top the milestone. Three of the other active players are his teammates Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Shaquille O'Neal.
Only Adrian Dantly has scored more points on less field goal attempts, this is the most telling statistic in Pierce's NBA Career. As a scorer he never had to go out and dominate the ball to the extent that other scorers may have. Pierce may not be the highest scorer of his era but he could always do it without taking an uncomfortable amount of shots. Paul can beat you from the outside, he can attack you in the paint, and he can break you down from anywhere in between with just as much effectiveness, Paul Pierce has perfected the art of scoring.
