Heat, Wade hold off the C's, Win Game 4

The Heat started out with a lot of energy building an 18 point first half lead.  But the Celtics fought back and trimmed it to 6 at the half:
  • A lot of turnovers in the first quarter (9) contributed to Boston falling behind by so much.  It didn't help that both Ray and Paul had 3 fouls apiece in the first half.
  • Watching Kevin Durant's cool and calm composure makes me wish that was the norm and not the exception.  Michael Beasley's a clown out there.  Crazy they were both #2 picks.
  • Is it possible to watch another playoff game where we don't have to hear about Michael Finley's sister being the head cheerleader for Doc Rivers' high school team?  I'm tempted to mention this each and every time they mention it.
  • After getting back into the game in the second quarter, the Celtics continued to push forward, playing brilliantly in the 3rd.  They seemed to make every big shot and the tempo was totally controlled by Rondo.
  • I don't get the whole watching the NBA "ESPN on ABC" thing.  If the game was on ESPN it'd be on ESPN.  If it's on ABC, then it's on ABC.
  • A 6 point lead going into the 4th quarter evaporated pretty quickly, behind Dwyane Wade, who went wild in the 4th quarter.  He scored 19 of his 46 points in the final period, including 4-4 from 3 point range.
  • The Celtics got close late but then Ray Allen missed 3 consecutive foul shots and Kevin Garnett followed that up with 2 missed free throws.
  • Despite the missed free throws KG looked very good today.  Him playing that way moving forward is essential for the Celtics success.
Disappointing that the C's weren't able to hold on and finish this off.  But I expect them to bounce back and play well Tuesday night.
