Hey Celtics fans in China! celticslife.com has had 460,081 visits from China since we originated in September 2009, which puts you at #11 on our list of countries with the most visits. Thanks so much for all the love you've shown for the site these past 10+ years.
Similar to a few other countries we've covered so far in the top 20, the Celtics have never had a player from China, but there have been a lot of interactions between Celtics players and the country. Stephon Marbury moved to China to continue his career after his stint in Boston and saw great success. Starbury finished off his basketball career by plying his final seven seasons in the China Basketball Association, which include three championships, a Finals MVP award a league MVP award, and six all-star appearances.
In 2017 Paul Pierce and Ray Allen seemed to end their beef in China while playing in the Super Penguin celebrity basketball game. They seem to still be getting along fine, but Ray continues to have a strained relationship with KG and Rondo.
As Celtics, the aformentioned Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett signed lucrative endorsement deals with Chinese sportswear company Anta. We've covered some of their visits to China previously on this site.
