The NBA Lottery is done and the 2019 Draft order is set

The ping pong balls didn't fall exactly the way the Boston Celtics would have liked in the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery. They missed out on moving into the top 4 as the pick owed to them via the Sacramento Kings ended up exactly where it was scheduled to land at #14:

The C's do walk away with a win in one area, as the Memphis Grizzlies moved up into the top 4 and the pick owed to the Celtics will become a top-6 protected pick in 2020 and totally unprotected in 2021 should it not convey next year.

Also, with both the New York Knicks and LA Lakers both ending up in the top 4 of the draft before a commercial break to finish the results left us in suspense we did get to witness both of our rival franchises get crushed as they ultimately landed at 3 & 4, missing out on the top prize in Zion Williamson and an excellent consolation prize in Ja Morant.

Albeit RJ Barrett at #3 is still a solid option for the Knicks whether they choose to keep him or attempt to package him to the New Orleans Pelicans for Anthony Davis.

Speaking of the Pelicans, they landed that coveted #1 pick and this will certainly make things interesting in terms of what they'll want to get in a haul for Davis now that they have the biggest prospect in the NBA headed their way.
