Watch: Is Boston's playoff success hurting Kyrie Irving?

While there's a lot for Kyrie Irving to be happy about with his team doing so well in the face of all the injuries they've sustained, there's more than one way to look at the situation.

Most of us are taking the postseason success as a testament to just how much more lethal this team could be when healthy - but not everyone is.

Some folks are flipping the script, wondering if perhaps Kyrie is expendable, and if this run in his absence from both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics has perhaps introduced a veneer of respectability to the idea both teams are better...without him.

Frankly, this is silliness. The opportunities for growth created by injury were certainly hugely important for Boston's youth movement, but it's simply nonsensical to suggest adding an All Star point guard widely recognized as a top-20 player would be anything but a boon to the Cs' title aspirations.
