Jeff Green praises Boston, Courtney Lee offers mixed emotions

Former Celtics Jeff Green and Courtney Lee are playing supporting roles on a team with championship hopes.
Since being traded to the Grizzlies, old friend Jeff Green has had only good things to say about Boston. Green offered more of the same before the Celtics/Grizzlies tilt on Wednesday:

Courtney Lee doesn't define his experience in green quite the same way. Via Scott Souza of the MetroWest Daily News:

“I just look at it as a learning experience,” Lee said before the game. “I’ve been through a lot of highs and a lot of lows. That just goes along with it.

“I think it tested my character showing if I was still going to be a professional coming into work and get my work in, and still talk to the media with a smile on my face. I think I did that. I learned from the year-and-a-half I was here.”

It's clear that Lee won't be reminiscing much about his time in Boston. Then again, it's tough to blame him. In Lee's first season, his minutes played were inconsistent and the Celtics were eliminated in the first round of playoffs by the Knicks. In his second season, Doc went to LA and the Celts began rebuilding.

Now with steady roles on a contender, perhaps both Green and Lee have better things to look forward to.
