According to CBSSports.com the Celtics are 'locked in' on Aaron Gordon with the sixth pick

According to a just published report by Matt Moore at CBSSports.com, SI.com reports that the Celtics are "locked in" on Arizona forward Aaron Gordon with the sixth pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Several league sources believe that Celtics GM Danny Ainge is locked in on Gordon. While Gordon's shooting is a concern, he is a strong rebounder and shot blocker who can defend either forward spot and has been compared to Shawn Marion. A trade is possible here, too. Ainge is always on the lookout for a make a blockbuster deal, and with Boston's assets he is more than equipped to do so.

Living in Arizona and having seen him play quite frequently, I am not overly high on Gordon. I like Noah Vonleh with this pick.

However, the Shawn Marion analogy is an interesting one. This is a much more accurate comparison than the oft cited Blake Griffin parallel.

Gordon can defend, rebound and electrify the crowd on the break much like "The Matrix" did in his many years in Phoenix. Not to mention, with good ball movement out of the pick and roll and Rondo at the helm he would be a highlight reel waiting to happen in the half court as well.

Whether or not there is any truth to this rumor we'll just have to wait a few more weeks until draft day in order to find out.
