Celtics drop their 6th in the preseason against the Wolves 104-89

Gerald Wallace returned to action Sunday, after taking a couple of games off for rest. Wallace had a team high 16 points behind 6-of-12 shooting. The Celtics hung around for most of the game until the wheels fell off in the 4th quarter. The Celtics made a mini run in the final two minutes to cut the lead to 15 from 22. In the end the T'Wolves handled the Celtics their 6th loss of the preseason in a 104-89 win.

Jeff Green had spurts, with 12 points Sunday, but I think most of us can't wait until the season starts to see if it's just his way in the preseason. Bass had perhaps his best game in the preseason with a solid 10 points. He also had a team high 8 rebounds. A number that I liked this evening was the 50 points in the paint. On the other end of it, the Celtics lost badly on the glass 54-40. The big frontline of Love, Derrick Williams, and Nikola Pekovic grabbed 25 of the 50 boards.

The Celtics will wrap up the preseason this Wednesday when the Nets come to town. Will see if Stevens has his lineups set for the season, or he'll just continue to play most of the guys. The Celtics will have a week off after Wednesday. Their first game will be Wednesday October, 30th at Toronto.
